Tuition Assistance

The Board of Westminster understands that paying tuition for a high-quality classical and Christian education can be a burden on many families.  Sometimes, the burden is simply more than a family's finances will permit.  Because Westminster is committed to being and remaining a school for families with varying financial resources, we maintain a generous financial aid program so that our price tag should never drive anyone away.

Statement of Tuition Philosophy

Westminster is committed to maintaining tuition at a level that is both affordable for Westminster families and financially responsible for the school.

Westminster seeks to keep tuition affordable for Westminster families by committing (i) to sponsor a generous financial aid program so that no student is ever turned away due to genuine financial need and (ii) to spend tuition dollars only on expenses that the Westminster Board considers to be essential to the providing of an excellent classical and Christian education.  Expenses that are not essential to but may supplement our core educational mission will be funded only through Westminster giving programs or special, non-mandatory fees.

Tuition Assistance Process
  1. The School will hold a Tuition Assistance meeting each fall (late November or early December) to explain the philosophy, policy, and procedures regarding our tuition assistance program.
  2. Tuition assistance applications are to be completed on-line through FAST by January 10.
  3. Once the applications have been completed online, FAST will provide Westminster with a report including award amount recommendations.
  4. The Tuition Assistance Committee (TAC) will review the recommendations and make final award decisions.
  5. Award amounts are then reported to families confidentially.
  6. Families then have until Re-enrollment day (generally the 4th Thursday in January) to decide whether or not to accept the award and register for the following school year.
