Athletics

Westminster is a member of the Alabama High School Athletic Association and competes in the 1A classification (Area 9 for Basketball).  The AHSAA requires an yearly physical (form), a copy of the student's birth certificate on file at the school, and all athletes must complete the Star Sportsmanship Program.  Our star code is: STAR02084

 

Philosophy
The goal of the Westminster athletic program is to provide athletic opportunities for students consistent with the vision and mission of the school. While not being driven by athletics, we do affirm the benefits of athletic practice and competition in the whole "paideia" (the full upbringing of a child) of a young man or woman. We also believe that sport, perhaps like nothing else, is a key to building unity and spirit in a school community. As such, we will work to build a program that is excellent, competitive, and fun.
