Westminster Robotics wins BEST Design Award
for second year in a row!
(check pictures at the bottom)

The Westminster Robotics Team arrived at the UAB Arena with a good chance of advancing to the final round of the Blazer Best Robotic Competition on Saturday, October 17.  The team performed so well that they placed first in the Seeding Round, accumulating the highest "inventory of chemicals".  During the semi-final round, where changes in the game were made, the team was not able to accumulate enough points to advance to the finals.  Although disappointed in the robot competition, they were encouraged by winning the BEST Award for “Most Elegant” robot, and the competition’s highest engineering award. The “Founders Award for Creative Design” is given to the robot that best represents the purpose of the founders of the BEST Robotics Competition.  This is the second year in a row that this award has come to Westminster.  We have been blessed by the Lord with a great group of young men and a set of mentors that gave up their time to help with this project.
