Upper School 7-12

Westminster’s Upper School curriculum is designed to equip students with the tools of learning and the habits of heart and mind that will serve them for life.

In grades 7–8, students focus on building a strong foundation in core disciplines such as algebra, grammar, reading, writing, and formal logic. As they move into grades 9–12, they begin engaging with subjects at a deeper and more rigorous level. This stage of learning helps them grow as critical thinkers who can reason clearly and communicate effectively. Juniors and seniors culminate their experience by researching, writing, and presenting a capstone thesis to their classmates and faculty.

Throughout their Upper School years, students are encouraged not just to learn facts but to understand the "why" behind them. In science and math, they explore the concepts that give meaning to formulas. In logic and rhetoric, they learn to think clearly and express themselves persuasively. All of this is rooted in a Christ-centered education that calls students to love truth, pursue wisdom, and live for God’s glory.
