Community
At Westminster, we value community and seek to nurture relationships among students and families both during and beyond the school day. Currently, we lack an indoor space large enough for group gatherings. An expanded gathering space will help us continue building our Christ-centered community by providing:
- A central meeting area for Upper and Lower School chapel services.
- A large venue for school-wide special events.
- A dedicated space for House events and large group meetings.
- An indoor dining area for students, especially during inclement weather.
- A gathering space for Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church to utilize.
Inclement weather forced the friends and family of our sixth graders inside the Upper School atrium after Salutatio.
Our first grade families gathered on a hot and humid evening for First Grade Fun in the Field.
The Student Commons in the Community Life Center will provide a space for all grades—Upper and Lower School alike—to come together for fun and fellowship, rain or shine. Whether it’s a grade-level gathering or a school-wide celebration, this space is designed to bring our community closer.
Student Commons
The Student Commons area will provide a space for students to gather with their friends and eat lunch inside.
During inclement weather, the Student Commons will allow spectators to watch soccer games, and track meets from indoors.
The Student Commons will provide space for hosting events for students, parents, grandparents, and alumni.
